You only have to look back at our original hand-held tools to see how far Oxbow has come in over 60 years. Those modest early jobs set the stage for our current company, which produces the most sophisticated and ergonomically‑smart assembly line fixtures out there.

First Generation

In the early 30s, Ed Fairfield owned a modest little company called Joy Tool and Die. In his later years, looking to step down and have someone take over the company, he partnered up with his son-in-law John B. Tiano and his son Robert Fairfield to start Oxbow.
