Job Description
Performs required set-ups on assigned machines and operates machinery to make details for tooling equipment. Maintains assigned machinery at all times.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating a manual Bridgeport with an Acu-rite
- Reading and following print requirements
- Knowing machine operating and maintenance procedures
- Performing machine set-ups
- Obtaining materials required to do the job
- Operating the machine
- Practice safety procedures
- Cleaning up the machine and area as necessary
- Making parts that are reliable, maintainable and durable
- Delivering parts to proper assembly areas
Requirements
- Formal education and/or equivalent experience in the Tooling Industry
- Ability to set up and operate metal cutting and/or removal machines
- Ability to read mechanical blue prints
- Experience working with metal, tools and machinery for metal fabrication
- Ability to perform basic shop math
- Must have the ability to work standing for 8-12 hours
- Must be Punctual and dependable
